The Iridium’s celebrating the launch of its new audiophile record label, IridiumLive, with a slew of releases this fall from some of the most respected guitarists and vocalists in music, including the Grateful Dead’s Donna Jean Godchaux, Arlen Roth, Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey), Corky Laing, and The Les Paul Trio with special guests Nels Cline, Stanley Jordan, Bucky Pizzarelli, and Jane Monheit. Each album on the label is recorded live with the club’s state-of-the-art 24-track HD studio and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Doug Yoel. See below for this fall’s albums and special release shows, keep an eye out for soon-to-be-announced releases including the Rolling Stones’ Mick Taylor.

Donna Jean Godchaux – ‘IridiumLive 004: 7.12.12′ (out 10/30): In her finest release in decades, the Grateful Dead’s Donna Jean Godchaux leads her band—which features several Dead/RatDog veterans—through a gorgeous set of southern-tinged Americana, her spirited, mature voice drawing comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt. Highlights include an unforgettable rendition of “New Speedway Boogie” along with lesser-heard Grateful Dead classics like “Easy Wind” and “Hey Pocky Way,” plus the first recording of the brand new track “Don’t Ask Me Why.” She’ll return to the Iridium 10/26 with her band and special guest Jeff Mattson of Dark Star Orchestra for a release show.

Corky Laing & The Memory Thieves – ‘Iridium Live 005: 8.1.12′ (out 10/30) – Famed Mountain drummer Corky Laing offers up an impassioned set of hard rock originals and Mountain classics, along with punk-inspired covers like “Ring of Fire” and “Eve of Destruction” on the album. The show was part of IridiumLive’s “Freshly Burned” series, in which fans can bring home recordings of the show they’ve just seen immediately following the concert.

The Les Paul Trio & Friends – A Jazz Salute to Les (Out Now): Culled from recent highlights of its trademark Les Paul Mondays series, the album features the late guitar giant’s band performing with special guests Nels Cline of Wilco, jazz guitar legends Stanley Jordan and Bucky Pizzarelli, and vocalist extraordinaire Jane Monheit. Highlights include Jordon and Pizzarelli’s sweet duet on “Body and Soul”—a tune famously recorded by Les and Nat King Cole at Jazz at the Philharmonic in the late 40s—Monheit’s glorious renditions of two standards from the Les Paul/Mary Ford catalog—”East of the Sun (West of the Moon)” and “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love”—Trio bassit Nicki Parrott’s “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight,” and Nels Cline’s cutting-edge guitar wizardry on “A.I.R.,” a tune by jazz pianist Carla Bley.

Gregg Rolie – Live at The Iridium (Out Now): Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Rolie co-founded both Journey and Santana and provided the incredible vocals for hits like “Black Magic Woman” “Evil Ways” and “Oye Como Va.” ‘Live at The Iridium’ features new arrangements of his classics, along with material from his recent solo project including the touching “If I Went Home,” a song 30 years in the making about his falling out with Journey. Rolie returns to The Iridium with Texas strat-slinger Alan Hayes, who joined him on the record, 10/31-11/1 to celebrate the release.

Arlen Roth & The Cordobas – ‘IridiumLive 003 – 2.29.2012′ (Out Now): Arlen Roth has performed with everyone from Bob Dylan and John Entwistle to Ry Cooder and Levon Helm in addition to being named one of Vintage Guitar Magazine’s Top 100 Influential Guitarists of the Century. IridiumLive #3 captures him and his touring band blazing through highlights including “House of the Rising Sun,” “When A Man Loves a Woman” and “Vaya Con Dios,” – the latter a tribute to Les Paul featuring Lexie Roth. He’ll take the Iridium stage once again for a release show 11/5.
